Sarah Webster's ancestry- St Ives, Huntingdonshire

Sarah Webster married Samuel Fisher on 25th December 1752 at St Ives, Hunts.

They lived and had children in Godmanchester, but neither was baptised in Godmanchester. As the marriage was likely to be at the bride's home parish, I have got the parish records for St Ives, which confirmed the date above and that Samuel is also not from St Ives.

However Sarah Webster was baptised in St Ives on the 18th March 1732, daughter of  Henry Webster and Elizabeth Sears.

They had 5 children: -

Sarah as above, baptised 18th March 1732,  who married Samuel Fisher on 25th December 1752 at St Ives.

Martha Webster, baptised 15th September 1735 at St Ives

Sandiver Webster, baptised 9th February 1736, who was buried on 26th September 1779 at St Ives.

Henry Webster, baptised 9th July 1738 at St Ives

Elizabeth Webster, baptised 11th Jun 1740 at St Ives to Elizabeth Webster widow.

Henry Webster's burial was found on the 9th January 1739 at St Ives. Elizabeth was buried on 21st April 1768 also at St Ives.

They had married on the 4th February 1732 at St Ives by Licence. The licence is not recorded in the online index of the Huntingdonshire Archives.

Elizabeth's birth/baptism has not been found. However Henry Webster was baptised on 9th April 1710 at Bluntisham cum Earith, Hunts.

His parents were Henry Webster and Sarah Johnson. They married on the 21st May 1702 at St Ives.

They had the following children.:-

Sarah Webster was baptised in April 1706 and was buried on 29th May 1709, both at Bluntisham cum Earith, Hunts.

Henry Webster as above, who was baptised on 9th April 1710 at Bluntisham cum Earith, Hunts.

Sarah Webster was baptised on 6th December 1713 at Bluntisham cum Earith, Hunts., and was buried on 5th September 1714 also at Bluntisham.

Sarah (the mother) was buried on 6th June 1723 at Bluntisham cum Earith, Hunts. Henry was buried there on 29th April 1724.

Neither Henry nor Sarah has been pinned down yet. Further work to come.
