Quitclaim involving: -

(1) James Catlow of Mosley, chapman (son of Rev. Jonathan Catlow of Ashton-under-Line, decd.), (ii) James Gibbon of Ashton-under-Line, yeoman, (iii) James Harrop of Ashton-under-Line, shoemaker and Elizabeth his wife, (iv) Miles Greaves of Ashton-under-Line, apothecary and Catalina his wife (J.G. and C.G. being children of William Gibbon of Ashton-under-Line, apothecary, decd.), (v) John Cock of Ryecroft, gent. and Alice his wife (daughter of Rev. J.C.) and others

James Gibbon James Harrop and Miles Greaves in hand also severally paid by the said Edward Gregge and Robert Gartside at or before

the Execution of these presents both which said sums of One hundred pounds apiece and One hundred and twenty seven pounds twelve shillings

and nine pence apiece make together the Sun of Two hundred and twenty seven pounds twelve shillings and nine pence apiece The Receipt whereof

the said James Gibbon James Harrop and Elizabeth his Wife and Miles Greaves and Catalina his Wife do hereby also severally and respectively confess

the Legacy given to the said Alice the Wife of the said John Cock by the said in part writed Will, and of the further Sum of One hundred and two pounds two shillings and

and two pence of the lawfull money being the said Alice Cock's part and share, as one of the Children of the said Jonathan Catlow, of one third part of the residue

of the Testatrixes Personal Estate, both which said Sums of Eighty pounds and One hundred and two pounds two shillings and two pence make together the Sume of One

hundred and eighty two pounds two shillings and two pence to the said John Cock in hand also paid by the said Edward Gregge and Robert Gartside at or before the Execution of

these presents The Receipt whereof the said John Cock and Alice his Wife do hereby also confess and acknowledge and themselves to be therewith fully satisfied and paid And

Also for and in Consideration of the Sum of Fifty pounds of like lawful money (being the Legacy mentioned in and given to the said Grace the Wife of the said Samuel Crabtree by

the said in part writed Will, and of the further Sum of One hundred and twenty seven pounds twelve shillings and nine pence of like lawful money being the said Grace's part and

share, as one of the Children of the said Catalina Wood, of one third part of the residue of the Testratrixes Personal Estate, both which said Sum of Fifty pounds and and One hundred

and twenty seven pounds twelve shillings and nine pence make together the Sum of One hundred and seventy sevem pounds twelve shillings and nine pence to the said Samuel Crabtree in hand

also paid by the said Edward Gregge and Robert Gartside at or before the Execution of these Presents The Receipts whereof the said Samuel Crabtree and Grace his Wife do hereby also

confess and acknowledge and themselves to be therewith fully satisfied and paid And also for and in Cinsideration of the Sum of Ten pounds of lawful money (being the same

Sum given to the said Catalina Wood in and by the the said in part writed Will) to a'said Joshua Wood and Catalina his Wife in hand also paid by the said Edward Gregge

and Robert Gartside and of one third part of the Testatrixes Wearing Apparel to the said Joshua Wood and Catalina his Wife delivered by the said Edward Gregge and Robert Gartside at

or before the Execution of these Presents  The Payment and Receipt whereof the said Joshua Wood and Catalina his Wife do hereby confess and acknowledge And also for and in

Consideration of the Sum of Fifteen pounds of like lawful money (being what was given to the said Marth Boyes in and by the said in part writed Will) to the said Martha Boyes in hand also

paid by the said Edward Gregge and Robert Gartside at or before the Execution of these Presents The Receipt whereof she doth also confess and acknowledge and herself to be therewith fully satisfied and

paid And also for and in Consideration of the Sum of Two hundred pounds of like lawful money (being the same Sum mentioned in and given to the said Elizabeth Palinin and by the said in

part writed Will) to the said Samuel Palin in hand also paid by the said Edward Gregge  and Robert Gartside at or before the Execution of these Presents The Payment and Receipt whereof the said Samuel Palin

and Elizabeth his Wife delivered by the said Edward Gregge and Robert Gartside, at or before the Execution of these Presents THe Payment and Receipt whereof the said Samuel Palin and Elizabeth

his Wife do hereby also confess and acknowledge and themselve to be therewith fully satisfied and paid And also and in Consideration of the Sum of Twenty five pounds of like lawful money

being what was given to the said Jonathan Kay in and by the said in part writed Will to the said Jonathan Kay in hand also paid by the said Edward Gregge and Robert Gartside at or

before the Execution of these Presents The Receipt whereof the said Jonathan Kay doth hereby also confess and acknowledge and himself to be therewith fully satisfied contented and paid They

the said James Catlow James Gibbon James Harrop and Elizabeth his Wife Miles Greaves and Catalina his Wife John Cock and Alice his Wife Samuel Crabtree and Grace his Wife Joshua Wood and

Catalina his Wife Martha Boyes Samuel Palin and Elizabeth his Wife and Jonathan Kay Hath acquitted released andforever discharged And by these

Presents Do and each and every of them Doth Acquit release and forever discharge the said Edward Gregge and Robert Gartsideand each and either of them their and each and either of

their Executors and Administrators and every of them Of and From all and every the said several and respective Legacies Bequests Sum and Sums of money so given and bequeathed to them

the said James Catlow James Gibbon Elizabeth Harrop Catalina Greaves Alice Cock Grace Crabtree Catalina Wood Martha Boyes Elizabeth Palin and Jonathan Kayin and by the said in

writed Will as aforesaid and every or any of them and every or part or parts thereof And of and from all and every other Legacies Bequest Sum and Sums of money Dues Duties

Claims and Demands whatsoever and howsoever both at Law and in Equity which they the said James Catlow James Gibbon James Harrop and Elizabeth his Wife Miles Greaves and Catalina his wife

John Cock and Alice his Wife Samuel Crabtree and Grace his Wife Joshua Wood and Catalina his wife Martha Boyes Samuel Palin and Elizabeth his Wife and Jonathan Kay every or any of

them their and every of their respective Executors Administrators or assigns or any of them may or shall have or pretend to have claim Challenge or Demand upon and against them the

said Edward Gregge and Robert Gartside or either of them or either of their Executors or Administrators or any of them for on account and under and by virtue of the said in part

writed Will and Testament and as their the said Edward Gregge and Robert Gartside being Executors thereof or any way relating thereto And of and from all Actions Suits Costs Charges

and Damages whatsoever on account of the same Will in any wise whatsoever In Witness whereof the Parties aforesaid to these presents hace here unto Sett their Hands

and Seals the day and Year first before Written
