In the Name of God Amen the second daye of Aprill in the yeare of our Lord one thousand six hundred and seventye and the twoe and twentyeth yeare
of the Raigne of our most Gracious soveraigne Lord Charles the second by the grace of God kinge of England Scottland France and Ireland defender of the faith etc I John
Pickford of Macclesfeeld in the Countye of Chester gentleman beinge weake of bodye but in perfect mynd and memory praised bee my good God therefore and being desirous soe
to settle my worldly Concernments that I may bee freed from the Cares thereof and that after my decease the same may remayne according to my mynd and will herein declared doe
therefore make and Publish this my last will and testament in manner and Forme Followinge and First I commit and Commend my spirit into the hands of Almighty God that
?gave it my Bodye to bee decently buryed as to my deare mothrs and executors hereafter herein named shall seeme meete And as touchinge my estate I give devise
and bequeath the same in manner followinge Imprimis I Give and bequeath all my lands of inheritance in possession or revercon and all my estate and tytle herein
? Johnathan Pickford my brother and his heires for ever charged and chargeable neverthelesse in such sort as by my fathrs deed of settlemt and last
will and testament - the same or any of them are therein or in eithr of them charged to the uses therein mentioned respectively Item Whereas I have lately taken a
lease of severall closes in Macclesfeed (sic) aforesaid called the Chamber thornes the higher dammes the lower dammes and the rough dammes with the othr heredittamts
thereto belonginge from the Right hoble the Earle Rivers My will and mynd is and I doe hereby give devise grant and bequeath the said Closes and all my
estate tytle and terme granted to mee in and by the said Lease unto my said brother Johnathan Pickford and his assignes dureinge all the terme and estate I have or
clayme thereof and therein, Item whereas I have reserved to myself power to dispose of certaine lands and tenements in Sutton and Macclesfeeld Parke called the
Marledearth the higher feild the Pitt feild the Broomefeild and the Bowle? meadowe and halfe a mosseroome? in Macclesfeeld Parke For a long terme of yeares yet to
come if the terme in the lease thereof soe longe Continue Now my Will and mynd is and I doe hereby Give devise and bequeath the same and all other my lands which
lease or leasses unto my said Brother Johnathan Pickford and his assignes dureing all the said terme and termes estate and estates thereof and therein, and as touchinge and
concerninge my other personall estate whereof I am any way interessed either as executor of my fath[e]r or oth[e]r wise My Will and Mynd is that my iust debts and funerall expenses
and what my fath[e]r charged thereon and is yet unpayd shall be first payd and discharged out of the whole Item I give to mt two executors hereafter herein named
Mr Anthony Booth and Mr Edward Cherrye the sume of tenne pounds a peece; The rest and residue of all my said personall after and above paymeny of
?s herein mentioned I Give and bequeath the same to all my Borthers and sisters to be equally devyded betwixt and amongst them And I doe hereby Nominate
and appoynt my said Brother Pickford and my said two loveinge freinds Mr Anthony Booth Ald[e]rman and Mr Edward Cherrye to bee my sole executors
of thi will and testament And doe desire they will carefully see the same p[er]formed Ae hereby Revoke all former wills by mee at any tyme heretofore
made In Wittnesse whereof Ihave hereunto putt my hand and seale the day and yeare first above written
