John Bond of Denton died 1806 Will

 

 

I John bond of the Township of Denton in the Parish

of Manchester and County of Lancaster, Yeoman being in a

sound memory and perfect mind do make this my last Will and

Testament.

 

Item my Soul to God that gave it and my Body to the Ground.

I bequeath to my eldest son Richard Bond all those three Houses

and all that appertain to them situated and lying in Bond

Street, Broom Lane Denton to his Heirs Executors Administrators

and Assigns for ever on Condition that the said Richard Bond

pay my other four sons viz Thomas William Henry & Swinlest

Bond the Sum of Sixty Pounds each that is to say two hundred

and Forty Pound to be paid on the Day twelve months after my

Decease the Rent for that last mention'd year to be equally divided

amongst three of my Grand Children, viz John the son of Richard John

the son of Henry and John the son of Swinlest Bond.

 

I bequeath to my son William Bond's two daughters namely Ann

and Mary Five Pounds each to have at the Age of twenty-one

that is to say the daughters of Hannah his first wife to be

put out to Interest.

 

If one of the above mentioned Daughters of William Bond die, the Legacy

to go to the survivor, if both die to go to the Children of Alice his present

wife.

 

I bequeath to Ann the daughter of my Son Richard

five pounds.

 

And when all my Debts and General Expenses are paid

I bequeath the remainder of my personal Property,

if there be any left to my Grandchildren including those

mentioned in the Legacies.

 

I firther appoint my two Sons Viz Richard Bond of

Denton and Henry Bond of Manchester to be my

Executors.

 

This Will and Testament made the ninth Day of  May

in the year of our Lord One Thousand eight hundred and

three.

The 17th day of September 1806 Richard Bond and

Henry Bond the Executors in this Will named were

sworn in common Form and they further made oath

that the personal Estate & Effects of the Testator within

the Diocese of were under 100 before me
