A George III mahogany longcase clock by James Douglas of Chertsey, the 12ins arched silvered dial with subsidiary seconds, calendar dial and strike/silent lever to arch to the eight day two train five pillar movement striking on a bell, contained in case the hood with shaped top and with two brass finials above moulded cornice, and with turned, fluted and brass stopped pillars to hood, arched trunk door, on plinth base, 90ins high, with keys for same.
Sold for £1400 at Canterbury Auction Galleries in 2014
