The Will of John Berryman of Chertsey 1771 |
I John Berryman
Of Chertsey in the County of Surry Tile Maker Do make
This my last Will and Testament in manner following
(that is to say) I Give and Devise to my loving Wife
Ann Berryman All that my Copyhold Messuage or
Tenement Situate in *Billam’s Lane in the parish of * should read Bittams Lane
Chertsey aforesaid with the appurts and all other my
Lands and Tenements and hereditts in the parish of
Chertsey or elsewhere To hold to my said wife her
Heirs and Assigns for ever And also all the rest
and residue of my real and personal Estate
whatsoever and wheresoever I Give Devise and
Bequeath to my said loving wife her Heirs Executors
Admors and Assigns And do Constitute and Appoint
her sole Executrix of this my last Will In Witness
whereof I have to this my last Will set my hand
and Seal this Seventh day of August in the year
if our Lord One thousand Seven hundred and Seventy

and Declared by the said Testator and by us subscribed
in his presence Witness our hands this Seventh

This will was proved at London the
Fourteenth Day of December in the year of our
Lord One thousand Seven hundred and Seventy one
Before the Worshipful Andrew Coltee Ducarel
Doctor of Laws Surrogate of the Right Worshipful
George Hay also Doctor of Laws Master Keeper
or Commissary of the Prerogative Court of
Canterbury lawfully constituted by the Oath of Ann
Berryman Widow the Relict of the deceased and
Sole Executrix named in the said Will to whom
Administration was Granted of all and Singular
the Goods Chattels and Credits of the said deceased
She having been first Sworn Duly to Administer
