Will of Hester Bisley of Winkfield 1825 |
This Hester was cousin of the Hester Bisley who married Joseph Pierce, so mentions of friends are in fact her cousin's daughters.
This is the last Will and Testament of me Hester
Bisley of Winkfield in the County of Berks Spinster First I direct all my
just debts Funeral and Testamentary expenses to be paid by my Executor herinafter
named I give devise and bequeath unto Mr Harris Burtt of New Windsor
in the County of Berks Grocer his heirs Executors administrators and
assigns all and singular my Real and personal Estate and Effects whatsoever
and wheresoever situate lying and being at the time of my decease upon
trust to sell and dispose thereof either by public Sale or private Contract
for the most money that can be got for the same and out of the monies
arising thereby to pay off and discharge any mortgage or other incumbrance
with which my Estates may be charged and all my just debts and Funerall
expenses and in the next place to invest the remainder of such monies
on Government or other good Security and the Interest arising therefrom to pay to or
for the support and maintenance of my Sister Mary Bisley for and during the term
of her natural life and from and immediately after her decease In trust to sell out
or call in such principal money and divide the same equally betweene my Friends
Elizabeth the wife of Thomas Dolby and Martha the wife of George Boyce of
Egham in Surry Baker and in case of the death of either of them the I give the
share of her so dying to her children equally provided always and my mind and
will is that in tax the Interest arising from the produce of my Real and personal
Estates as aforesaid after paying all charges thereout as before directed shall be
found insufficient to provide for the maintenance and support of my said Sister
then I direct that all or so much of the said principal as the said Francis
Burtt his heirs Executors or administrators shall think proper be laid out
in the purchase of an annuity for my said Sister during her natural life and
the Residue if any of such principal money I direct to be divided between the
said Elizabeth Dolby and Martha Boyce and their children as aforesaid
and I further direct that the receipt or Receipts of the said Francis Burtt his
heirs executors or administrators shall be good or sufficient discharges to
the purchaser or purchasers of my Estates or either of them for so much as
shall be expressed in such Receipts and that such purchaser or purchasers
shall not be bound to see to the application or nonapplication of such purchase
money and that the said Francis Burtt his heirs Executors or administrators
shall reimburse himself and themselves respectively all such costs charges and
expenses which they or either of them may be out to in or about the execution
of this my Will or the trusts thereof I appoint the said Francis Burtt sole
Executor of the my last Will and Testament and hereby revoking all former
Wills by me made at any time or times heretofore I do declare this only to be
my last In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and Seal this
eighteenth day of May one thousand eight hundred and twenty one
