The Will of George Bicknold of Catshull in the parish of Godalming 1636 |
In the name of God Amen the 22nd of February in the
eleventh yeare of the Raigne of or gracious Soveraigne Lord
Charles by the Grace of God of England Scotland France and
Ireland Kinge Defender of the faith etc I George Bicknold the
Elder of Catshull in the pish of Godleming in the County of
Surry being weake and sicke in body but of pfect memory
blessed be God doe make ordaine constitute this my last Will
And Testament in manner and forme following renouncing all former
wills that is to say first and principally I commend and bequeath
my soule into the hands of Allmighty God my hevenly father hopeing
to be saved by the onely merits and passion of Jesus Christ my sole
saviour and redeemer and my body to be decently buried in the church
yard of the pish of Godleming where I now inhabit
Itm I give and bequeath to my sonne Georg Bicknold my mill
with the mill stone and two shillings of mony Itm I give and
bequeath to my sonne Thomas Bicknold fiftene pounds of lawfull
mony of England to be paide within five months after my decesse
Itm I give and bequeath unto my sonne John Bicknold two shillings
Itm I give and bequeath unto my Cosen William Hemings five pounds
of like lawfull mony he being my daughter Jhone sonne to be paid
when he shall acomplish the age of twenty yeares Itm I give and
bequeath to my daughter Sara the wife of Georg Billingshurst
two shillings Itm I give and bequeath to my daughter Ann the
wife of James Mabancke two shillings all my goods unbequeathed I
give to my daughter Jane Bicknold whom I doe make my full
and sole executrix to this my last will and testament
Sealed and declared this acte and deed in the pnce of us George Bicknold
