The Will of Rev George Boyce of Winkfield 1824

 

I George Boyce of the parish of Winkfield and County of

Berks Clerk do make this my last will and Testament revoking all other wills

made by me at any time heretofore viz I nominate an appoint my two oldest sons

John Boyce of Winkfield Row in the said parish and late one of the assistants

at the Revd. Mr Faithfulls Warfield and George Boyce of the parish of Egham

in the County of Surry Baker joint executors of this my last Will and Testament

I give and bequeath to the said John Boyce and George Boyce my Executors all

that parcel of meadow or pasture land known by the name of Tangleys situate

near Winkfield Lane in the parish of Winkfield aforesaid and containing

 

by admeasurement nineteen acres and seventeen poles be the same more or

less and now let to John Woods of the said parish at the annual rent of

thirty four pounds in trust that they my said executors shall out of the

rents and profits of the same pay to Mr Thomas Milton of the parish of

Eton in the County of Berks Baker the annual Interest of five pr. cent of my

debt to him of three hundred pounds per Annum and

that they divide the remainder of the rents and profits into six equal parts

among my six Children viz John George William Thomas James and

Mary to each one equal part and in case my said children or any four of

them shall consent to the sale of the said land and thereby empower my said

Executors to sell the same and divide the product after deducting the necessary

Charges and expenses of the sale and providing for the payment of the said

three hundred pounds to the said Thomas Milton and the interest due thereon

into six equal parts among my said six children to each one equal part

Item I give and bequeath to my said executors that piece of land allotted

to me by the award of the commissioner acting under the power of the act

of parliament for dividing and allotting the common fields and waste lands

in the parish of Winkfield containing by admeasurement eighteen acres two roods

and sixteen poles be the same more or less with full power to sell the same

in trust that they my executors do sell the same to the best advantage and

divide the produce of this Sale after deducting all necessary charges and

expenses attending this Sales thereof into six actual parts among my said

six children to each one equal part Item I give and bequeath to my

daughter Mary in consideration of the dutiful care and attention to me

in my illness the Bed and all the other ffurniture in the Room above

the Kitchen and also the Tea Chest Caddies Tea Spoons and all other things

belonging to the Tea Equipage and also four silver table spoons Item I give

to my son James all my Books and Tools of every description Item I give

to my son John the Malt Mill and all the Casks and brewing utensils

to me belonging Item I desire that the remainder of my household

ffurniture Linen Goods and personal Estate after deducting all my just

debts and ffuneral Expenses be divided by my said executors as equally as

possible among my said children and I hereby ratify and confirm

this to be my last will and Testament In Witness whereof I have hereunto

set my hand and Seal this twentyfifth day of January in the year of our

Lord 1819 George Boyce SS Signed Sealed pronounced and declared as

Will and Testament in the presence of us who in his presence and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names as Witness
