Will of Clara Maria Douglas (nee Clarke) Widow of Egham 1933

 

 

I Clara Maria Douglas of 77 High Street Egham in the

County of Surrey do make this my last Will and Testament

as follows viz I leave any some of money standing

to my credit at the Bank at my decease or invested

together with the money which my life is insure after pay-

ment of my just debts estate legacy duties and all

expenses incurred under this my Will I bequeath

to my son Frederick six hundred pounds to my son

Charles James twenty pounds to my son George Percy

one hundred and fifty pounds to my daughter

Mabel Louise three hundred pounds to my daughter

Ethel Gertrude one hundred and fifty pounds to

my son Reginald John Sholto three hundred pounds

to my son George Percy and my daughter Ethel Gertrude

I give my freehold premises 77 High Street Egham in

the County of Surrey to share equally to my son George

Percy and my daughter Ethel Gertrude I leave the

goodwill of my business as Baker and Confectioner

carried on by me at 77 High Street Egham in the

County of Surrey and all fixtures utensils etc whatsoever

used in the business my household furniture I leave

to my son George Percy and my daughter Ethel Gertrude

excepting those articles I mention in the Gift Book

my household linen to my daughter Ethel Gertrude

excepting any article I mention in the Gift Book

my China to be drawn for but not the Tea Services which

I leave to my daughter Ethel Gertrude The six

hundred pounds I bequeath to my son Frederick only

one hundred to be paid down at my decease I direct

that five hundred pounds to be held in trust and

invested in the two names of my two sons Albert Douglas

and Reginald John Sholto Douglas the interest to be

paid top him as received by the two trustees. My

household furniture to remain as it is for twelve

 

calendar months from the time of my decease I

leave twenty pounds to my son Albert Douglas whom

I appoint with my son Reginald John Sholto Douglas

as joint executors The residue of my estate if

any to be equally divided between my five children

Frederick George Percy Mabel Louise Ethel Gertrude

and Reginald John Sholto

This is my last Will and Testament in witness

whereof I have hereunto set my hand this

first day of November one thousand none hundred and

thirty two            Clara Maria Douglas

 

Signed by the said Clara Maria Douglas as for her last

will and testament in the presence of us present and the same

time who at her request and in the presence of each other have

hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses

DEATH ON OR AFTER 1st JANUARY, 1898.

Will

Be it known that Clara Maria Douglas of 77 High Street

Egham Surrey widow

died there on 9th day of April 1933

 

AND BE IT FURTHER KNOWN that at the date hereunder written

the last Will and Testament

of the said deceased was proved and registered in the Principal Probate

Registry of His Majesty's High Court of Justice, and that administration

of all the estate which by law devolves to and vests in the personal

representative of the said deceased was granted by the aforesaid Court

to Albert Douglas of 41 Market Place Henley on Thames

Oxford civil servant and Reginald John Sholto Douglas

 of 150 Wards Avenue Fulham Middlesex clerk sons

of the said deceased the Executors

named in the said Will.
